【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】美國約一百個城市的速食業員工，計畫5日發起罷工行動，以要求資方加薪，工會從一年前就開始推動這個勞工運動，表示光靠最低薪資，一小時7.25美金的時薪(約215元台幣) ，實在難以過活，美國民主黨議員和勞工團體積極推動加薪，勞工要求將最低薪資增至每小時15美元(約台幣445元)。

不過這波罷工運動到底會有多少人參與還是未知數，也無法保證就能因此導致餐廳無法營業，今年夏天的罷工行動效果就兩極化，部分餐廳因此被迫暫時營業，但也有餐廳不受影響。

而且由於經濟衰退全球速食業者，包括麥當勞、漢堡王等都面臨更激烈的競爭，銷售成長緩慢，加上速食店員工流動率高，難以動員，一天罷工行動可能起不了太大作用。
