【呂健豪／新北報導】新北市政府環保局烏來清潔隊，昨天遭檢舉疑似虐狗，1隻黑色流浪狗遭鐵鍊「鎖喉」吊死在回收車車斗。新北市議員陳儀君針對此事今天下午召開記者會，要求相關單位說明。

新北市環保局、動保處及烏來清潔隊皆到場說明，烏來清潔隊隊長歐樹坦承隊員有疏失，但強調非蓄意，黑色流浪狗乃因掙脫狗籠欲跳出車斗時不慎被吊死，但對於隊員第一時間說謊仍然向社會致歉，環保局及動保處也研議相關懲處內容，市議員陳儀君要求月底前完成懲處報告。

【大紀元2013年10月26日訊】(大紀元記羅東平綜合報導)萬聖節即將登場，南瓜是這個節日不可或缺的元素，除了用來雕刻和食用之外，一名英國藝術家發揮創意，將一顆重達360公斤的南瓜打造成「南瓜船」，還成功的橫越索倫特海峽，創下吉尼斯世界紀錄。

27歲的德米特裡．加利齊納（Dmitri Galitzine）是一名專門利用蔬菜進行創作的藝術家。加拿大新斯科細亞省每年舉辦的南瓜划船競賽讓他有了創新的靈感，他與造船專家花了數天的時間將一顆360公斤的大南瓜打造成了一艘「南瓜船」。

加利齊納說，巨型南瓜中間的籽都挖掉後有天然的浮力可以浮在水面上，厚厚的外皮能防水，是很好的造船材料，再裝上2顆馬達，一艘「南瓜船」就成形了。

完全沒有航海經驗的他，24日上午9時駕著他打造的「南瓜船」離開戈斯波特，以1小時56分鐘穿越了長達3英里（約4.8公里）索倫特海峽（Solent）到達懷特島。加利齊納表示，駕南瓜船橫越索倫特海峽最困難的地方就是要克服較強的的大浪。

加利齊納使用的這兩個南瓜都來自一個「巨型南瓜秀」。把南瓜賣給他的瓜農馬克•奧漢隆來自蘭開夏，他說，加利齊納一直關注這些南瓜的生長。加利齊納表示，喜歡用巨大的蔬菜創作這樣的想法是受到英格蘭傳統文化的影響。
