南韓認為北韓中程導彈將部署到朝中邊境。

韓國媒體報導，跡象顯示，北韓可能近期在東海岸發射短程反艦飛彈。
韓國《朝鮮日報》引述軍方消息人士的說法報導稱，北韓最近準備在東海岸元山附近發射地對艦飛彈。雖然很可能是進行普通訓練或試射，但也可能是針對最近局勢進行的武力示威。
報導稱，北韓要發射的飛彈是射程120公里以上的KN-01系列的地對艦巡航飛彈。
韓國總統朴槿惠的親美、對北韓強硬立場，令北韓相當不滿，除了在韓國總統大選公開支持對手文在寅外，朴槿惠6月26日訪問大陸的前一天，北韓在東海岸發射了4枚疑似300毫米口徑新型火箭炮的短程火箭，不過南韓軍方並未公開相關消息。
