不過農場主人不忍心，決定幫牠截肢，並募款為牠裝上義肢，最後還決定收養牠，幫牠取名為崔帕德，經過6年來的照顧和復健，期間換過不少義肢，今年7月專家為崔帕德量身打造適合牠的義肢，經過3個多月的復健，現在已經能自由行動
