魚池鄉公所訂於10月19日清晨，辦理大雁村金龍山淨山健行活動。鄉長陳錦倫籲請鄉親呼朋引伴，踴躍參與。

魚池鄉金龍山是一處中低海拔的日出觀賞聖地，近年來前往金龍山賞日出的遊客日漸增加，因此使它的知名度再次往上攀升，凡舉愛好日出攝影的朋友每每豎起大姆指的大聲讚嘆「看日出不必上阿里山」來形容金龍山日出之美。
　
魚池鄉公所特擇訂於19日（星期六）清晨四點五十分，結合各村里志（義）工、社團、機關團體及民眾參與淨山活動，藉由「登山清垃圾、下山隨手帶垃圾」的愛護地球行動，以宣導大自然環境清潔的重要性並鼓勵大家一起來運動，讓民眾都起個大早，為健康加油，為留乾淨的環境給下一代向前行，相約健行上金龍山。
鄉長陳錦倫上任後，對於金龍山的推展非常的重視，除了將原本雜草叢生的梢楠樹群指示農經課專人管理外，並補植櫻花及紫薇等樹種，且極力爭取經費施設三座涼亭，供遊客休憩傾聽鳥叫蟬鳴，遠眺魚池鄉的週邊景色。並選在氣候怡人適合運動的秋天辦理淨山健行活動，除用心打造「幸福魚池、繁榮地方」的願景，也積極的將金龍山的美分享給大家，更期許能將魚池鄉行銷至全世界。
