【綜合報導】美國一名37歲男子曼剛（David Mangum）5日出庭應訊，曼剛被控刻意隱瞞自己感染俗稱愛滋病毒的人類免疫缺陷（HIV）病毒，傳染給與他發生性關係的性伴侶，檢方表示，他可能已傳染愛滋病毒給300人以上。
 
根據法院文件顯示，曼根坦承他在2003年得知感染愛滋病毒後，先後在密蘇里州和德州的300多名性伴侶發生關係，且未採取保護措施，部分性伴侶是透過免費的分類廣告網站結識。
 
檢察官奧立佛（Russell Oliver）表示，已有許多被害者陸續出面作證，預料曼剛將面臨更多的起訴罪名，初審將於本月26日舉行。

【胡守得／台北報導】指涉柯建銘不上訴案的法務部長曾勇夫，今天晚間9時45分在法務部舉行記者會說，「為了我們的機關，也為了不使長官困擾，決定辭職」。
 
曾勇夫說，今天的事，給各位帶來很大困擾，我想先把結論告訴大家，我決定辭職；雖然我保證沒做這樣（關說）的事，但個人去留不足惜，為了我們機關未來發展重要，當然也為不使長官困擾。
 
曾勇夫強調，我絕對清白，沒介入關說，對於莫須有指控，個人非常不齒，未來將以老百姓身分，為個人清白奮戰不已。

【綜合報導】義大犀牛代總教練黃煚隆昨晚與美籍主審布萊恩場上暴衝突，黃煚隆以胸部頂撞，布萊恩竟鎖喉，演出中職史上首次主審攻擊總教練事件。昨晚布萊恩揚言提告，黃煚隆離開球場後又被找回新竹球場，布萊恩又說不告，讓黃煚隆相當不滿，他也已經到醫院驗傷求自保。

原本黃煚隆搭上球團巴士離開球場，開到交流道附近時，布萊恩揚言提告，黃煚隆與球團人員搭計程車返回球場，警方也到了球場，黃煚隆提議去警局做筆錄，布萊恩又說不告了，讓黃煚隆和球團人員沒車子搭，感覺被耍非常不滿。
