我前幾天收到一封電子郵件，邀請我11月去德州參加一場婚禮。

我是在美國南方長大，一個非常傳統的農村小鎮，每個人都去Wal-mart購物，有一半以上的人口開卡車，最愛的消遣之一是週末去打獵。當我的爸媽在那邊念書時，我家和我父親的教授的家庭非常親密，所以我童年的感恩節和聖誕節都在他們家度過，叫他們爺爺和奶奶。我直到長大才意識到我經歷了一個獨特和偶然的童年，在一個多是保守、白人中產階級的小鎮長大，和白人祖父母一起去大採購。即便是和一般美國人相比，這經驗也很獨特；20年後當我念商學院時，我是班上唯一來自遙遠美國南部，而多數美國同學從沒去過南部或中部的州，那些州通常被開玩笑稱為「飛過州」（fly-over state）。

我以前小時候在老房子裡面常常跟我美國奶奶的孫子玩在一起。他比我大一歲，即將要在11月結婚了，就是他邀請我去參加他們的婚禮。我去年回去時有看到他，當我看到那封email時，往事又湧上了心頭。

大約一年前，是我奶奶開車載我們去他孫子位在德州的家。那是一個週末，姊妹、阿姨、堂兄弟姊妹等等一大家族的人都在，當我們往房子走去時，我忍不住有點緊張。他們當中有些人每隔幾年我來的時候有碰過。有些人我來訪時每次都錯過，可能是我5年或10年之後再次見到他們。他們都在後院，準備烤漢堡、熱狗。

在夕陽下，我走到後院，狗在旁邊跑著，拖拉機停在車庫裡，大家跟我們打招呼。我幫忙一起烤肉，之後跟我的「堂哥」去散步，他秀給我看他的漁船、他的新卡車，聊著我們都還是6歲小孩時候的生活回憶。那似乎是已經上輩子的事情了。

藉著 IFA 2013 柏林消費性電子展前，Sony Mobile 近期罕見的在新品未上市前針對新品發布訊息。另外，電子產品供應商 ETrade Supply 在昨日（8/23）發布疑似代號「Honami」的 Sony Mobile 最新旗艦機種 Sony Xperia i1（或稱 Xperia Z1）的金屬機身框架。這款新機擁有電源鍵、音量鍵、實體快門鍵，以及 micro SD 卡插槽；ETrade Supply 指出，每個按鍵與插槽均具備防水層或覆蓋物，可提供防水防塵的功效。外傳， Sony Xperia i1（或稱 Xperia Z1）將搭載 5 吋 Full HD 螢幕，內建 Qualcomm Snpadragon 800, 2.3GHz 四核心處理器、2GB RAM，擁有 2,000 萬畫素 Exmor RS 相機，預計將於 9 月 4 日將於 IFA 2013 開展前夕發表。

五楊高架北上林口路段日前在大雨後出現三處裂縫，引起社會重視，擔心影響行車安全。交通部國道新建工程局上午表示，經會同大地工程學會會勘，初步認為出現裂縫的原因，主要是地下水位太高，導致路面出現裂縫，並無偷工減料情形，也沒有立即崩坍危險。

國工局並強調，五楊高架路面出現裂縫，與2010年造成重大傷亡的國道三號基隆汐止段的走山事件完全不同，民眾不用擔心。

狂犬病指揮中心表示，原本規定民眾要在遭鼬獾抓咬傷且傷口傷及真皮層的抓咬傷、動物在有破損的皮膚舔舐、黏膜遭動物唾液汙染等情形 (第三類暴露等級)，才可使用狂犬病免疫球蛋白。但考量遭到確定感染狂犬病的鼬獾抓咬傷，具有更高的染病風險，為加強保護民眾健康，指揮中心決定即日起放寬公費免疫球蛋白使用條件。

因此，當民眾遭染病鼬獾抓咬傷時，即使傷口屬裸露皮膚的輕微咬傷、有流血的小抓傷或擦傷等情形 (第二類暴露等級)，也可使用免疫球蛋白。

依據疾病管制署統計資料，從7月21日至8月23日，累計有42例遭鼬獾抓咬傷且經審查同意使用狂犬病疫苗個案，屬第二類傷口暴露者有13例，其中包括遭確染狂犬病鼬獾抓咬傷且符合放寬給予免疫球蛋白適應症者1例。
