今天，Google 和Amazon都是人們嚮往的大公司，不過，它們也有過前景不明的初創階段。在那個時候，加入公司其實是一場冒險，因為誰也無法確定它們的未來如何。對於公司早期雇員來說，他們經歷了公司早期的艱辛，目睹了公司的改變。

近日，華爾街日報對幾個大公司的第一名員工進行了採訪，包括 Google 的 Craig Silverstein 和Amazon的 Shel Kaphan。

Craig Silverstein 一開始並沒有打算去科技行業，但是 Sergey Brin 和 Larry Page 關於搜尋的演講激發了他的興趣。於是，他和兩個人有了初步的交往。當 Brin 和 Page 打算成立公司的時候，問 Silverstein 是否感興趣。他在 1998 年加入 Google，那時候公司還沒有命名。

公司創立的早期是「研究生院」的生活風格。他們在 Brin 的宿舍裡熬夜程式設計。後來，他們搬到了朋友的家裡。這時候，Silverstein 感覺自己在一個真正的公司了。他的頭銜是技術主管。直到離開 Google 前，他一直擔任這個職務。

Silverstein 說，作為公司第一位雇員，他能夠對公司文化施加影響。他鼓勵軟體工程師寫出清晰的程式碼，做出詳細標註，並進行嚴格測試等。但是隨著公司的壯大，他的影響力也在減弱，因為更多的觀點開始出現，有時候與他的觀點是對立的。他也承認這是一個學習的過程，別人的觀點有時是正確的。他嘗試過管理方面的職位，但發現自己並不擅長，於是，他一直在技術方面工作。

去年，Silverstein 離開 Google，去了教育組織 Khan Acedemy。他說自己和 Google 創始人沒有太多聯繫，但是仍然保持「友好」關係。另外，他也會和公司裡的老朋友見面。

Amazon的第一位員工 Shel Kaphan 的經歷與 Silverstein 類似。他一開始也沒有意識到Amazon的潛力。當他加入公司的時候，只花了最少的錢來裝修自己租住的房屋，因為他覺得，只要建好系統就可以回南方了，然後偶爾登入一下就可以。但是公司的成長超出了預料。
他和Bezos是透過朋友認識的。當時他只是想要在網路公司工作。網路書店吸引他的原因是，他喜歡圖書而且曾在實體書店工作過。他並不擔心公司是否會倒閉，只想做些有趣的事情，因為他看到網路是不容錯過的潮流。

Amazon的技術基礎是他一手打造的。在最初的一個月裡，他是唯一的技術人員，因此，他需要長時間的工作和週末加班。Amazon最初的歲月是緊張而非常有壓力的，但是那仍是一個了不起的體驗。

隨著公司的成長，他與創始人的關係也改變了。最初的時候，他能夠和Bezos面對面地友好交談，但後來，兩人談論生意的時間越來越少了。他說，自己在公司的最後幾年是沮喪的，因為公司雇傭了其他人承擔他的工作。他雖然變成了技術長，但是對自己的系統失去了控制權。

Kaphan 在 1999 年離開Amazon，從此與Bezos失去聯繫。他沒有去其他公司，而是開始追求個人喜好，從事慈善方面。雖然如此，當他看到Amazon在消費者中獲得更多認同的時候，仍然會感到非常高興。

eshopping板好像都要附賣場連結才可以問 因為目前糾紛還沒到需要附連結黑名或是發hate板的程度 所以我先來這邊請教大家 前天在露天上用直購價標到一樣東西 昨天 賣家用悄悄話告訴我 因為一堆%%#&$理由 所以價錢是她設定錯了 這價錢不可能賣 賣了會虧本 叫我別去匯錢 如果我已經匯了 就給她我的帳號 她要退錢給我 但是我前天會用直購價買 也是因為看到價錢很便宜啊 大約市價的一半 現在她很明白的說不要去匯 還說就算匯了錢 東西也不會寄來 會跟我要戶頭 然後直接轉回給我 我的問題是 難道我就要乖乖吞下去嗎 看了露天的棄標投訴 讓我一頭霧水 裡面的條文好像是用賣方的角度來寫的 請大家幫我看一下 提出棄標投訴(說明) 1.遇到棄標時，結標後第4至第20天內可以向對方提出棄標投訴， 提出後被投訴方將會收到簡訊及e-mail 通知。 2.投訴對方棄標後，將限制對方給您評價的權力；若您未主動撤回 投訴，將於提出後的第4天視為棄標成立， 此時被投訴方的評價頁上會出現棄標次數，直到您撤回案件 或被投訴方向露天申訴成功。 3.被投訴方可於投訴提出後的第4至第10天期間備齊舉證資料檔案 ﹝如貨運單據、匯款單據影像檔...等等﹞，向露天提出申訴。 已結案或已申訴的案件無法再行申訴。 我現在的訴求是 1.我也不打算匯錢了 硬碰硬的下場 到時她寄個爛貨來 後續處理更傷神 2.我想給她一個負評 結束這場鬧劇 但是又怕她會回送一個負評 我應該怎麼做? 直接點棄標投訴 然後等4天後再給她負評? 流程是這樣嗎 4天後棄標成立她就不能回送我負評了吧? 颱風天心情真不美麗 唉 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.31.134.247

請問要將汽車運至馬公，欲搭乘早上九點的台華輪 1.前一晚必須投宿在台華輪附近，請問那附近有沒有推薦的旅館或飯店呢? 2.台華輪高雄上船處，到底是在漁人碼頭還是新濱碼頭?台華輪網頁是 寫新濱，可是友人及板上都有人說是漁人碼頭?這兩個碼頭離很遠嗎? 3.只有車子要坐船過去，難得去港都一趟，請問附近有甚麼好玩好吃的嗎? 在晚上去小港搭飛機前想好好在高雄朝聖一番，可否請大家推薦不錯的行程 在此先感謝熱情的高雄鄉親 -- 御風而上 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 122.146.70.140

萬寶華（ManpowerGroup）昨公布2013全球人才短缺調查，高達46％台灣雇主面臨徵才困難窘境，雖然比去年下降1個百分點，但仍高於全球的35％，台灣雇主抱怨人才難找的比例，位居全球第11、亞太第6名；其中，業務代表仍位居今年台灣人才短缺職缺的第1名。

台灣失業率常年為四小龍最高，6月失業率為4.14％，本周四即將公布7月份最新失業狀況，預估畢業生就業未完全消化，還會持續攀升。為了解全球雇主徵才困難情況和對就業市場的衝擊，萬寶華連續第8年進行人才短缺調查，針對42個國家及地區、近4萬名雇主進行調查，其中包括1031名台灣雇主；而亞太區8個國家中，台灣位居日本85％、印度61％以及香港57％等之後，排名第6名。

單純以大中華市場相比，台灣人才短缺情況連2年下滑，相較於香港、中國大陸則雙雙上升，與去年分別增加22與12個百分點，人才短缺比率來到57％和35％；論及解決問題，台灣積極投入的意願最高。萬寶華認為，求職者職場技能不足，是造成雇主徵才困難的首要原因。

統計也發現，去年38％雇主著手提供培訓、增加人才等管道因應，今年更有高達76％雇主藉由調整工作模式以拓展人才來源，在台灣雇主積極克服人才短缺問題下，萬寶華表示，明年調查結果令人期待。

為何台灣雇主如此擔心徵才問題？萬寶華台灣分公司專業人才顧問事業處處長吳璧昇表示，人才短缺將衝擊服務客戶的能力，也會使競爭力與生產力下降。除業務代表外，台灣人才短缺的前10大職務還包括技術人員、工程師、研發人員與管理階層或高階主管等。

《紐約時報》報導，自從2008年金融危機過後，美國各大銀行都需要每年通過聯準會的「健康檢查」，也就是壓力測試，確保銀行對抗風險的體質良好。但聯準會發表報告指出，雖然金融危機已過了5年，仍有多家銀行在對風險管理和資本計畫等重要領域裡，無法對最壞狀況做出預先計畫。

《紐約時報》報導，自從2008年金融危機過後，美國各大銀行都需要每年通過聯準會的「健康檢查」，也就是壓力測試，確保銀行對抗風險的體質良好。但聯準會發表報告指出，雖然金融危機已過了5年，仍有多家銀行在對風險管理和資本計畫等重要領域裡，無法對最壞狀況做出預先計畫。

聯準會在報告中指出，目前多家銀行回應壓力測試時，尚未把房價波動這一因素考量進去。此外，部分銀行則假定自己體質良好、優於同業，可在經濟危機爆發時，將他行的業務搶過來。聯準會表示，雖然許多銀行已經改善資本計畫，但仍然缺乏對經濟危機的應變模式和完整制度。預計聯準會將要求各銀行進行改善。目前聯準會並未明確指出銀行名稱。

自從2009年起，美國主要的18家大型銀行就必須接受年度壓力測試，確保銀行在嚴重的金融危機來臨時，有足夠的應變能力。但是此舉卻造成聯準會和銀行間的衝突，因為壓力測試的結果將可以決定銀行要發配多少股息以及回購多少股票。

而今(2013)年3月，聯準會設定假設條件—失業率飆高至12.1%、股市腰斬、房價暴跌逾20%。在大型交易商面臨市場衝擊下，針對全美最大的18家銀行進行壓力測試。19家大型銀行中，有10家銀行必需在此假定情況下籌得750億美元的權益資本。測試結果出爐，僅2家銀行未過關，分別為BB&T(BBT-US)銀行和美國政府掌權的艾利金融公司（Ally Financial）(ALLY-US) 。

此外，投資銀行高盛(GS-US)與摩根大通(MS-US)表現也有待加強，因為其一級資本充裕率均低於 6％。聯準會要求高盛和摩根重新檢視發放給旗下股東的資本，並於2013年第3季末提交新的資本計畫。聯準會表示，高盛和摩根2家銀行的資本適足率皆有缺失，必須立即解決。若摩根和高通於第3季末提出的改良報告並不完善，聯準會仍有權利終止這2家銀行的資本發放。

而本周一(19日)發布的報告指出，聯準會批評銀行並未精確評估自身的風險控管和融資需求，並且指出銀行可能需要增加資本，或是減少發放股息，才能達到監管單位的要求。另外，聯準會也表示，下一輪的壓力測試，將會再另外囊括12家銀行一併檢測，測試結果將會於明年年初公布。
