明年嘉義縣長選舉，國民黨至今仍推不出人選，讓縣黨部主委黃耀仁承受很大壓力。黃耀仁今天表示，這陣子他陸續徵詢黨內幾位較具實力的人選，但都碰了軟釘子，明年嘉義縣長選舉人選，國民黨確實出現「難產」窘境。對於呼聲最高的立委翁重鈞，今天他接受本報專訪時強調，如果黨內有更適當的人選，他不一定要選，除非到了最後關頭仍找不到人選，他就會評估參選，「因為嘉義縣不可能放空縣長人選」。這句話讓外界留下很大想像空間。
