陸地的面積佔地球的1/4
其中3/4的陸地在北半球
可得知北半球陸地共佔了整個地球的1/4×3/4=3/16

有3/4的陸地在北半球，代表另外1/4的陸地在南半球
可得知南半球陸地共佔了整個地球的1/4×1/4=1/16

 
※且北半球和南半球的表面積相等

各佔了整個地球的8/16(海洋加陸地)

已知北半球陸地為整個地球的3/16
北半球的海洋+陸地=8/16
可得知北半球的海洋面積為8/16-3/16=5/16

已知南半球陸地為整個地球的1/16
南半球的海洋+陸地=8/16
可得知南半球的海洋面積為8/16-1/16=7/16

 相除之後，可得知南半球的海洋面積為北半球海洋面積的7/5倍
