冠軍氣勢，VW Polo WRC新賽季廠車登場

2011年5月德國VW汽車宣布進軍2013年WRC（世界拉力錦標賽）賽事，並同步發表以現行Polo為基礎發展而來的Polo R WRC廠車。在2013年11月17日英國Cardiff分站賽事結束後，Volkswagen Motorsport以超前對手145積分的優勢（總積分425），拿下2013年度WRC廠隊冠軍，而車手也由旗下的Sebastien Ogier以290積分之姿取得冠軍寶座。
