【謝岱穎／綜合報導】根據匹茲堡海盜隊官方所發布的消息，外野潛力新秀錢伯斯(Evan Chambers)上周末在睡夢中過世，得年24歲，錢伯斯今年在海盜菜聯盟出賽，是旅美左投王維中的隊友，王維中得知消息後覺得很難過，他在臉書上說：「他還欠我一雙鞋子說…」

錢伯斯是海盜在2009年選秀會第3輪挑中的好手，今年在《棒球美國》的海盜新秀中排中第26，並評價他是海盜農場系統中打擊天分最高的幾位好手之一。

錢伯斯去年最高層級到2A，但今年因腳傷只在菜鳥聯盟打4場復健賽。海盜尚未針對他的死因做進一步說明，總經理杭汀頓(Neal Huntington)表示「震驚」、「難過」。

【王毓健／綜合報導】FIFA(The Fédération Internationale de Football Association，國際足球總會)凌晨在巴西公布明年世界盃足球賽最新相關資訊，包括比賽用球「森巴夢想(brazuca)」與臺灣時間6日夜間進行分組抽籤細節。抽籤儀式臺灣由ELTA體育台(MOD)由6日23:30起直播，但明年世界盃臺灣轉播權歸屬仍未定。
 
「森巴夢想」球胎、球膽和2012年歐洲國家盃、2013年洲際國家盃、本季歐洲冠軍聯賽用球相同，未有革命性突破，卻是史上測試最嚴格、測試次數最多的一顆球，共有10國、30隊，包括梅西(Lionel Messi)等600多名頂級球星都踢過這顆球，也曾以不同塗裝方式讓球員在不知情下於國際賽踢過。
 
球面則是6塊十字型皮革貼成，擁有更高均衡性，對各種環境場地適應性更佳；外型與色彩設計靈感則來自巴西傳統多色許願幸運帶。「brazuca」名稱是從去年9月起由超過百萬名球迷在網路投票選出，共獲77.8%選票，來自巴西方言，意指「巴西人」。臺灣預計售價是3890元。
 
分組抽籤較特殊是種子隊外歐洲9隊都會分在同一彩池(pot)，如此可確保世界盃32強分組賽不會出現3支歐洲隊同組，不過也大幅提高死亡之組機率。因為包括義大利、荷蘭、英格蘭、葡萄牙、法國等隊都可能被分到和南美非洲彩池，加上種子、純歐洲等2個彩池，同個小組3強爭2席慘烈狀況很容易出現。
 
抽籤除地主國自動成為A組種子外，會決定種子彩池其餘7隊分組，之後每個彩池分開抽。由於有同洲迴避原則，32強只有歐洲13席超過分組數量，因此只可能有5個分組會出現同時有2支同洲球隊。例如南美非種子智利會自動避開巴西、阿根廷、哥倫比亞、烏拉圭等4支種子隊所在分組。
 
此外，明年總獎金也將再創新高，漲幅達33%，從上屆4.2億美元升至5.6億美元，但具體分配細節仍待公布。
 
巴西世界盃32強分組各彩池：
 
彩池1(種子，8隊)：巴西、西班牙、德國、阿根廷、哥倫比亞、比利時、烏拉圭、瑞士
彩池2(非種子南美+非洲，7隊)：智利、厄瓜多、象牙海岸、迦納、阿爾及利亞、奈及利亞、喀麥隆
彩池3(中北美+亞洲，8隊)：美國、哥斯大黎加、宏都拉斯、墨西哥、日本、伊朗、澳洲、南韓
彩池4(非種子歐洲，9隊)：荷蘭、義大利、葡萄牙、法國、英格蘭、俄羅斯、克羅埃西亞、波士尼亞與赫塞哥維納
