我們很感激你開發出能幫助人們分享照片到 Instagram 的 app。在我們鼓勵開發者使用 Instargram API 開發 app 的同時，我們真的不允許有任何 app 看上去很像官方版的 Instagram。我們希望你能夠理解這種保護 Instagram 商標的做法，必要的規則還是要申明的，比如，app 的名字不能看上去或者讀起來很像 Instagram，名字中帶有「Insta」或者「Gram」的字樣是我們無法接受的，並且絕對不能盜用 Instagram 的 logo，除非我們官方授權。

對於中招的 Luxogram，問題就在與它名字中的「gram」，和它與 Instagram 很相似的 logo，Instagram 甚至表示相關 app 需要在 48 小時內回復 Email。

雖然 Instagram 這個名字是受商標法保護的，但是根據 Instagram 官方放出的 API 準則，「Insta」和「Gram」卻沒有，事實上，在這之前，Instagram 的API文件是鼓勵接入它 API 的 app 使用「Insta」或者「Gram」，只要不一起用就好。

牽涉到的類似 app 很多，比如 Statigram、Webstagram、Gramfeed、Instadrop、Instagallery 等，它們都需要重新設計名字。這些都不是用戶數很少的 app，例如 Luxogram 每月就有超過 100 萬的活躍用戶，而它的所有人卻表示他不太可能滿足 Instagram 所有的要求，極有可能停止服務。

所以你能責怪 Facebook 為了保護 Instagram 的商標而過河拆橋嗎？似乎不能，因為又不是第一次。Instagram 現在不僅背靠大樹而且賺滿了用戶數值，反過來當它開始為自己的品牌純度考慮時候，當年這些在旁邊幫助過 Instagram 推廣的 app 們，才反應過來，自己早該想想的自己姿態是否一直正確了。( techcrunch.com)
