出櫃同志納入冬奧開幕 歐巴馬：不容忍歧視

美國總統歐巴馬6日表示，他將公開出櫃的同性戀運動員，納入素溪(Sochi)冬季奧運開幕式的美國奧林匹克代表隊，就是要彰顯美國不會容忍對運動或其他的任何歧視。

歐巴馬在素溪冬奧登場前夕，接受美國國家廣播公司(NBC)的訪問時，發表這項評論。

歐巴馬在素溪冬奧的開幕式中，為出場的美國代表隊挑選了數名公開出櫃的同志運動員，包括前男子花式滑冰冠軍好手包泰諾(Brian Boitano)、以及女子冰球選手卡豪(Caitlin Cahow)。

原本公開出櫃的網球名將金恩夫人(Billie Jean King)也是代表隊之一，但後來因為母親生病而退出。

歐巴馬說，毫無疑問地，美方希望明確表明，美國不會容忍對任何事的歧視，包括以性取向為基準的歧視。「奧運最棒的事情之一，就是人們是由你的表現成就來判斷你，而不管你來自何處、長相如何、你愛的是誰，而我認為這是和奧運精神一致的。」

在稍早前，俄羅斯副總理柯札克(Dmitry Kozak)6日曾警告，參與素溪冬奧的選手與觀眾，必須避免在賽事期間宣揚同志人權，表示此舉等同政治宣傳活動，違反奧林匹克憲章與俄國法律。
