歐巴馬提名沃克任國防副部長

（中央社記者廖漢原華盛頓7日專電）美國總統歐巴馬今天提名前海軍副部長沃克擔任國防部副部長，提名案如獲國會通過，五角大廈將正式由部長黑格（Chuck Hagel）與沃克主掌。

歐巴馬7日提名華府智庫新美國安全中心（CNAS）執行長暨前海軍副部長沃克（Bob Work），接替代理國防部副長佛克斯（Christine Fox），成為五角大廈的2號人物。

61歲的沃克有27年的陸戰隊服役資歷，曾於歐巴馬就職期間，出任國防部移交小組成員。沃克長於軍事預算與國際關係，學經歷完整，與白宮關係密切。

前美國國防部副部長卡特（Ashton Carter）於2013年12月離任，沃克將在有限財政資源下，完成精簡和戰備升級計畫，並維繫美軍在全球的影響力。

沃克預定13日出席聯邦參議院軍事委員會提名案審查聽證會。1030208
