還記得2013年奧地利Worthersee Tour車展上，VW所推出的Golf DESIGN VISION GTI的概念車嗎？以第七代Golf GTI為基礎架構，換上全新設計的寬體空力套件以及超大20吋鋁合金輪圈後，散發濃郁的性能氣勢。其中車上搭載的3.0L V6雙渦輪引擎更是現場焦點之一，因為現行VW汽車以節能動力為開發導向，所以少有6缸以上訴求性能的引擎設計。
