【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】新年剛過，但美國東北部和中西部等地區在接下來2天，將有威力強大的冬季暴風雪侵襲，估計影響範圍波及全美22個州和1億人口，部分地區最低氣溫將驟降至攝氏零下20度。

據《美聯社》報導指出，受到惡劣天氣影響，截至當地時間周四下午5時，全美當天約有2000架次航班被迫取消。由於下雪路滑，在印第安納州有交通事故發生，其中有1人死亡、多人受傷。
